To start the New Year we welcome David Carless as our demonstrator this month to showcase Digital Art!
David has been a teacher for nearly 20 years at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College. He graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Northumbria in 1999.
David has been using the iPad as a drawing and painting tool for around 10 years and now all of his illustration work is produced using the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
He has produced a lot of work for Hartlepool United including the most recent Legends calendar.
Earlier this year David became an Apple Distinguished Educator in recognition of teaching with Apple technology and introducing it into the Art and Design curriculum throughout each year group. The app he mainly uses is Procreate which is seen as a market leader for drawing and painting.
David believes that the possibilities of the iPad as a drawing and painting tool are endless.
For our meeting he is going to demonstrate a few relevant apps before starting out on a painting so feel free to bring along your own electronic devices to give it a try.
