Joe Hush Special
Our usual Painting Group that meets on the second Saturday of the month at The Salvation Army Hall, Park Road, Hartlepool is pleased to welcome Joe Hush for a special extended session (10am – 4pm).
Joe was born in Northumberland but now lives in Washington. He is a traditional landscape artist who likes to paint in acrylic, oils and watercolour, and has painted for pleasure for most of his life.
Joe primarily paints landscapes where the light interests him, and with a good eye for detail he tries to capture the atmosphere and his feelings on the particular day.
His paintings are developed from pencil tonal sketches and painted sketches. “This preliminary work is an important first stage to get down what I see in my mind.”
