Wednesday 13th October 2021

Jo was due to join us in May 2020 to demonstrate her portrait art in acrylic but due to covid-19 the meeting was unfortunately cancelled. So a huge welcome to Jo!

Jo studied art at Cleveland College of Art and then went on to study for an honours degree in art at Dundee University. She completed a PGCE course in 1991 and became a secondary school art teacher. She also tutors in portrait painting and holds a range of painting workshops.

Jo loves painting portraits. Strong portrait images conveying a range of emotions intrigue her and she creates a mix between abstract styles and realism in her paintings. She has exhibited her work numerous times and is available for commission pieces.

Visitors are welcome at £5.00 per head.

Please note: Covid measures are still not entirely lifted, so the Gallery has asked that we restrict numbers to 24 attendees. Please confirm your attendance beforehand by contacting Liz if you have her details, alternatively use our contact us section on Facebook or this website.

**This is also a reminder that the closing date for entries for the 2021 Annual Exhibition is the Club meeting night. Entry forms have already been emailed or sent to members and will also be available at the meeting for any last-minute entries!

****We also have an extra special Blind Auction offer on at tonight’s meeting – check out our News section for more details…
